Pain Management Procedures Pre-Op Instructions
Pain Management Procedures Pre-Op Instructions
Please call your physician for complete instructions. Follow all of the instructions given to you by your physician for this procedure.
Please arrive at our center 1 hour prior to your procedure. You will need to complete the registration process, and be appropriately prepared for your procedure.
You must have someone drive you home following these procedures, unless otherwise instructed by your physician.
Not all patients will receive sedation for these procedures; it depends upon the type of procedure & your physician's preferences. If you have sedation, YOU MUST have someone to drive you home afterwards.
If you are taking a blood thinner, such as Coumadin, Plavix or aspirin, please consult your physician regarding when to discontinue these medications prior to your procedure.
If you have any X-ray films, MRI's or CT scans, please remember to bring these films with you on the day of your procedure, unless otherwise instructed by your physician.
If you are having sedation for this procedure, you must have an empty stomach. Do not eat for 6 hours prior to your precedure
If you take blood pressure medications, please take your medication as normal with a sip of water on the day of your procedure, unless otherwise instructed by your physician.
It is recommended that you wear loose fitting, easy to remove & replace clothing for this procedure.
